  • Renewable Energy

    • Energy Kite: Ashtonco, LLC™ became involved with a large company that is creating an apparatus that can harness air to create electricity. It is a highly complex system that involves multiple prototypes and elevated ground stations up to 57,000 lbs.

    • APD Ashton Construction:  IBEW Santa Clara Headquarters, solar photovoltaic skylight.  First photovoltaic skylight over an enclosed space using BP thin film panels incorporated into insulated glass units.

    • APD Ashton Construction:  46,000sf skylight system West Field Air Cargo Building,  San Francisco Airport.  Extruded Polycarbonate skylight system over secured space to provide light and thermal resistance.

  • Marine

    • Mystery Barge:  Marine construction and repairs to a 210’x72’x16′ deck barge to house extensive building with 3000 amp shore power service.

    • USS Iowa:  Painting from waterline to top of mast BB-61 Battleship USS Iowa.  Work consisted of removal by sandblast and other methods of existing paint, and repainting the hull and superstructure.  Mast had previously been removed and had to be re-attached after hoisted by floating derrick barge.  Company received Award of Excellence for work by SSPC.

    • Elihu Harris State office building, Oakland, CA:

      • Prefabricated Steel Stair towers

      • Construction of 7,000sf monumental skylight over main entry atrium

    • Children’s Hospital, Oakland, CA:

      • Construction of monumental glass skylight onto steel framed building with concrete elevator tower penetrating.

    • San Francisco Metreon, San Francisco, CA:  Construction of multi-planar skylight over 5 story curtainwall with insulated glass.

    • San Francisco Giants Oracle Ballpark, San Francisco, CA:  Pre-fabricated Steel stairs.

    • Cal Expo, Sacramento, CA:  3 tiered space frame covered with skylights and aluminum decking.

    • Lockheed Martin Space and Missiles Company, Santa Clara, CA:  Repair of hydraulic 7 story rocket servicing module.

  • Early stage BD

    • APD Ashton Construction:  Create and license construction company.

    • Renewable Energy:  Non Disclosure Agreement in place

    • Marine:  Non Disclosure Agreement in place

  • Sales and Business Development

    • Industrial Sales:  Develop industrial market for machined and fabricated metal parts.

    • Manufacturers Representation:  Represented manufacturers from all over the United States and beyond.  Primarily involved with core and shell engineered building products.  Also involved with electrical lighting products.
